For license renewals, the Iowa Plumbing & Mechanical Systems Board requires that all HVAC/Mechanical contractors complete 8 hours of CE for single licenses.

How Do I Receive My Certificate?
You can print out your certificate as soon as you finish the Plumbing course. Additionally, once your course has been completed, we’ll handle sending the State Board a report. No hassle, no fuss!
Please keep your certificates of completion with CEU numbers and hours awarded, so you can submit them with your renewal applications, as proof of completing required continuing education.
Attaching your certificates of completion to your current online license folder will not carry over to your renewal applications – you must enter the information (CEU numbers and hours awarded) in your renewal application. If you are mailing in paper applications, you will need to send the information or copies of certificates of completion with your renewal applications.
