All persons holding an electrical contractor license is required to complete four (4) hours of continuing education per year. However, an applicant for renewal who has been initially licensed for less than two (2) years, but more than 1 year must have completed four (4) hours of continuing education while licensed prior to initial renewal. An applicant for renewal who has been initially licensed for one (1) year or less is not required to complete continuing education prior to initial renewal.

The Board may conduct a random audit for continuing education compliance by requesting from a percentage of renewal applicants documentation of their continuing education. The Board also has the authority to request any licensee to submit documentation of completed continuing education at any time.

This course only contains segments of the NEC code using similar language and does not contain the entire 2020 NEC Code and is not a substitute for the NEC 2020 Code Book.

IMPORTANT: The licensee is responsible for keeping track of his or her own Continuing Education hours
