By actively participating in this class, the student should be able to:
- Understand the history of imported fire ants.
- Understand the migration of fire ants to the U.S. and Texas.
- Learn the biology and be able to identify the Red imported fire ant, Black imported fire ant, Southern (California) fire ant, and the Tropical or Native fire ant.
- Discuss Fire Ant control and techniques.
- Understand the Biological Control and Natural enemies (pathogens) of fire ants.
