The purpose of this course is to satisfy the continuing education requirements for licensed electricians in New Mexico. This course covers 3 main topics in the area of safety: Laws, Electrical Safety, and tool safety. This course will cover the laws that govern electricians and certain NEC standards that impact their work. This course will expires May 16, 2011
This course also includes safety information for working with and around electricity in the construction industry as well as any worksite that has electricity. This course emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, and control. In the area of tools topics such as proper safety techniques and personal protective equipment are identified.
The importance of operating any tool with safe practices is emphasized.
