Course Objective: This course is designed to equip managers with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and address sexual harassment in the workplace. Participants will gain an understanding of the legal definitions of harassment, including federal protected categories and the responsibilities of supervisors under EEOC and state regulations such as CA AB1825. The course will cover employer liability, the two types of harassment (quid pro quo and hostile environment), and the consequences of harassment. Managers will learn when and how to investigate complaints, how to support employees who report harassment, and how to minimize the risk of retaliation and legal action. Common mistakes and best practices for handling harassment claims will also be addressed.
