Delaware Master Plumbers must complete 5 hours of Board-approved continuing education every two years. Beginning with the 2026 renewal, the required education includes 3 hours of code changes, 1 hour of safety, and 1 hour of cross connections and backflow. Plumbing licenses expire October 31 of even-numbered years. All continuing education courses must be approved by the Delaware Board of Plumbing and HVACR Examiners.

Beginning with the 2026 renewal, the Board randomly audits 5% of renewal applications. In addition, 100% of late renewals are audited for CE compliance.
