This course is approved for 2 hours of continuing education by the state of Maine Board of Funeral Service and does not expire as long as we’re approved by the board or other states.

This course discusses and defines grief. The symptoms of the grief are explained as well as helpful ideas to help an individual deal with grief. This course examines what happens to the body during the process of dying. Attitudes towards death and cultural traditions that occur at death are explained along with the process of mourning. The focus of this information is to provide information that will aid the student in understanding individuals who are experiencing the death of a loved one.
